Mobients was recently recognized by Inc. magazine on it's sixth annual Inc. 500 | 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy – America’s independent entrepreneurs.
“We are truly honored to be recognized by Inc for the hard work we’ve done building Mobients into a national brand over the past three years. Having done this during the ‘early’ days of mobile, and through a recession, we are extremely excited to see what our ranking will be next year,” says Matthew Perry, CEO of Mobients.
Mobients joins Yelp, giftcards.com and Tilly’s, among other prominent brands featured on this year’s list. During the period between 2008 and 2011 Mobients saw an impressive 516% growth in revenue placing it at 688 fastest growing company nationally and 22nd in Atlanta.

MOBIENTS UX MANAGER, BRINDA COCKBURN, WRITES COVER STORY ON SOLOMO FOR IMEDIA
Mobients Manager of Design and UX recently published an article in IMedia this week as the cover story. Check out the article online titled "Why Luxury Brands are Dominating SoLoMo"
Here is a small portion of the article:
Luxury is all about exclusivity, providing unique experiences, fostering deeper customer engagement, and creating emotion around a brand. Yet, while 40 percent of luxury customers access the internet daily through a smartphone, fewer than 4 percent of brands fully leverage the contextual mobile-social advantages to market these attributes.
While the general perception of mobile is that of a mass-marketing medium, its capability for social interaction and highly personalized content also lends itself well to providing targeted offerings to a high-demand audience that expects incomparable service. The integration of social networks with inherent mobile location features (now collectively coined "SoLoMo") is transforming customer engagement with brands and revolutionizing marketing.

MATTHEW PERRY MODERATES PANEL AT OMMA GLOBAL
SAN FRANSISCO, CA MARCH 19-20, 2012At this years OMMA Global, thought leaders from around the world gathered in San Francisco to discuss various aspects of marketing, commerce, advertising and digital media. On March 20th, our own Matthew Perry was selected to moderate a panel focusing on the growth of mobile commerce entitled: How Retailers Can Manage the Mobile Rumble in Aisle 5.
As many of you know, Matthew has been on the leading edge of the mobile commerce revolution since the initial development of commerce enabled feature phones. His passion and insight surrounding the future of m-commerce has been recognized by organizations such as OMMA and Media Post.
Steve Smith, columnist for Media Post commented on Matthew and the panel:
“Matthew led the panel into engaging some of the real complexities of crafting a mobile plan of action at the retail level. It was important to see how the panelists teased out how different the mobile approach needs to be according to product segment and even types of devices being used by consumers.”
Smith also stated, “The importance of no-nonsense designs that render the right answers to shoppers’ questions and the central importance of a mobile Web presence were especially interesting. The thinking brands brought to their desktop Web designs has to be completely redone for shoppers who have real time needs.”
Mobients has gained vast experience as a result of Matthew’s foresight and leadership within this evolving vertical. We have been credited with designing some of the earliest mobile wallets and banking experiences for top Fortune 500 clients.
Stay tuned for a video of the panel, where Matthew leads the discussion on how brands can best interact with the mobilized consumer. -
